Manchester Woman Arrested for DUI, Drug Possession, and Child Endangerment in Laurel County

July 11, 2025

LONDON, Ky. — A Manchester woman is facing multiple charges after Laurel County deputies arrested her at a traffic safety checkpoint and discovered she was under the influence with young children in the vehicle.

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, 43-year-old Mariah E. Hall was taken into custody on Thursday night, July 10, 2025, at approximately 11:11 p.m. The arrest occurred on East Laurel Road, roughly 11 miles east of London.

Deputies Matt Walker and Adam Napier reported observing a red Oldsmobile Alero approaching the checkpoint with two juveniles, ages one and three, who were not properly restrained in car seats. Upon investigation, deputies learned that Hall was driving on a DUI-suspended license and had an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear in court on prior DUI and drug paraphernalia charges in Bell District Court.

Deputies said Hall appeared to be under the influence and admitted to smoking methamphetamine about 45 minutes prior to the stop. A search of the vehicle uncovered suspected methamphetamine, a glass pipe with residue, Xanax, a marijuana cigarette, and a THC vape pen, which was reportedly found in the car seat of the three-year-old.

Hall was charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense

  • Two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor

  • Driving on a DUI-suspended license – first offense

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree (methamphetamine)

  • Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree

  • Prescription controlled substance not in proper container – first offense

  • Failure to appear (on prior DUI and drug paraphernalia charges)

She was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center. A photo of Hall was provided by the detention center.

Sheriff John Root emphasized that drug-related arrests will continue to be a priority in Laurel County.
